2021 Wednesday Evening Separation & Divorce Support Group
*Group meets online over Zoom
A group for people separating, divorcing or divorced in the greater Seattle and Eastside areas.
People often talk about how separation and divorce is like riding a roller coaster of emotions. At first may you feel completely overwhelmed, then slowly as time passes you find yourself beginning to feel hopeful for the future. Periodically a “storm” will roll in and the sadness, anger, anxiety or confusion returns. If you are having experiences like these they are completely normal. The ending of a significant relationship is a major life transition and a time of great change. As you move into your new life and create new dreams, the “storms” will become less and less frequent.
Healing is a process and the ending of a significant relationship is a major life transition. It can also be a time to redefine who you are and what you want in the next stage of your life.
As you make your way through the process of a separation, divorce or after your divorce is final, it can be helpful to reach out for support and join with others who understand what you are going through.
The separation and divorce support group is designed to offer a sense of community during change. A compassionate space to join with others who can understand what you are going through.
During the group people talk about losses, changes, and challenges, share questions and learn how others cope and support themselves and their children through this time of change.
You will walk away knowing you are not alone, you have a place to go and a community that understands as you navigate this path ahead.
